Note that these URLs use numbers that are not related to the content, and the user cannot guess what they will find on the page by looking at the URL.

Here’s how to check and update your WordPress site’s permalink structure. You need to visit Settings » Permalinks page.
Select the post name option and then click the Save Changes button to store your settings.
Note: If your website has been in operation for more than 6 months, please do not change your permalink structure unless you use the numbers option.
If you use the day and name or the month and name, go ahead and use that. By changing your permalink structure on a specific site, you will lose all your social media engagement count and run the risk of losing your current SEO ranking.

Once you have added your website to Google Search Console, click on sitemap from the left menu and then paste the last part of your URL
Click the Submit button to save the changes. Google Search Console will now check your sitemap and use it to improve crawling of your website.
Once you have successfully added your sitemap, it will appear as pending.
It takes some time for Google to crawl your website. After a few hours, you will be able to see some statistics about your sitemap.
It will show you how many links it found in your sitemap, how many links it indexed, the percentage of images and web pages, etc. We recommend that you check Search Console at least monthly to gather insights and see your website’s SEO progress.
