How to change admin color scheme using WordPress default settings
WordPress has a built-in feature that allows you to choose from a few predefined color palettes for your WordPress dashboard.
Also, to change the admin color scheme, simply login to your WordPress admin dashboard, then go to Users » Profile.
Next, select the new color scheme in the “Manager Color Scheme” section by clicking the radio button.
There are 9 different color schemes to choose from .
When you click on different options, the color scheme will change automatically .
Once you have selected the colors you want, you need to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Update Profile button.
You can also control the main color scheme of other registered users on your WordPress site.
To do this, go to Users, All Users, hover over the user, and click Edit.
Then, just follow the same instructions above to change the color scheme for that user.
Once done, make sure to click on the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page.
How to create custom admin color schemes in wordpress
If you want more color options for your admin dashboard, you can create custom color schemes and upload them to your WordPress blog.
To do this, go to the free ” WordPress Admin Colors ” website and click on the “Start Creating” button .
Then enter a name in the Color Scheme Name box.
This name will appear in the WordPress admin panel as a new color option.
Then, you can fully customize the color scheme by clicking on the color options in the “Choose your colors” section.
To change an existing color, click on the color and choose your new color from the pop-up menu.
You can click anywhere in the color picker, or enter a hexadecimal code for a specific color.
Once you have finished customizing your color scheme, click the Create Color Scheme button at the bottom of the page.
This will generate the color scheme icon that you need to add.
On the next page there will be two different code files.
You need to download the CSS file, afterthat copy the code snippet and paste it into your favorite text editor .

For this tutorial, we’ll be using a code snippets plugin .It’s the easiest and beginner-friendly way to add code snippets to your WordPress site .
First, you need to install the Code Snippets plugin . For more details, check out our beginners guide on how to install the WordPress plugin .
If activated, you will have a new menu item called “Extracts” in your WordPress admin bar.
Then go to Snippets » Add New and name your code snippet .
This can be anything to help you remember your code .
Then, you can paste the snippet you copied above into the Code box as shown in the image .
Next, click the Save Changes and Activate button at the bottom of the screen. This will save the icon and activate the new color scheme.
Now, you need to upload the CSS stylesheet that you downloaded earlier to the themes directory of your WordPress hosting account.
To do this, you can use an FTP client, or choose File Manager in your WordPress hosting control panel.

First, you need to connect to your website using an FTP client, or cPanel file manager. Once connected, you need to go to the /wp-content folder.
Inside the wp-content folder, you will see a folder called themes.This is where WordPress stores all the themes your website uses or has used in the past.
All you need is to click on the themes folder, and choose the theme you want to use.
Next, load the “display.css” file you downloaded and a CSS file with the name you chose from earlier.

If you have changed your WordPress themes, you will need to upload the CSS file to your new themes folder.
Next, go to Users » Your Profile and then you can select the new color scheme you just created.
If you want to use this color scheme, remember to click the Update Profile button at the bottom of the page.
